About a month ago I moved out of home. I know for most young people this is a time where junk food is consumed because there is no one to tell them they can't anymore. For this 24-going-on-47-year-old it was an opportunity to do exactly the opposite! I wanted a decent serving of veggies with every meal, less fast food, not to have my food drowned in oil and butter before it got to the table. Now we are not used to fast food, and when we ate it for the first time on Thursday night neither of us enjoyed it and it made us feel a bit sick! We eat healthy food because it is cheaper and it makes us feel better, and it is tastier. It also has had a side effect, and that is losing more weight without even trying. I have lost around a kilo in the past month, and Luke has lost 2-3kg in the same time frame.
That puts me at 22kg lost in 18 months.

I'm not happy with how thin my face looks in photos now... So I don't know what I'll do about that!
So I have been engaged all of a week and my wedding is planned. I don't muck around. We will be married on Easter Sunday next year and a beautiful, old restaurant near a beach. We booked our photographer on Thursday, and the company is familiar with the location so we should get some good shots. I have printed up prototype save the date cards, we are finalising the guest list next weekend and sending them out (since it's a public holiday weekend we want to give heaps of notice). Celebrant is not something I care about, I just want someone to make it legal. I know what cake I want, I know the colours I want. My BFF is coming over from the UK for a holiday and she will be going dress shopping with me. My hair person is all sorted, just need to work out what I want and someone to do makeup.
A question I get asked now that I'm engaged (besides from "I better be coming to the wedding"... Ummm... No) is about whether or not I'll be losing weight for the wedding. And the answer is no, I won't be losing anymore weight for the wedding. I want to maintain my current weight and level of fitness so that I can look as good as possible on the day. I want to love myself that day, and love the photos afterwards :D
