The run did me good...

Friday, June 14, 2013

I only had time for a short run today (1.5 miles), but I ran the whole thing in just 12 minutes. Next week I want to conquer the 2.1 mile loop, so I can work my way up to the 3.2 mile loop that I often walk with my dog. I was feeling really blah yesterday, but a successful run perked me right up. I also made plans with my brother to go kayaking this evening. He wants to stay out until sunset, so we will put lights on our boats. Have to stay safe. The sun came out a little today too, which also helped my frame of mind. It was a good temperature for running today, not too hot. I was breathing a little easier on my run today than I was on Wednesday. Still a little bit of gasping and panting, but not much.

I am sitting here staring at my Winter coat, thinking I should put it away in the closet for the summer. I think it has finally become warm enough on a consistent basis to warrant putting that blasted thing away. I really should replace it next Winter, as it is a 2x and I am no longer that big. I kind of like it too big though, because I can carry the dog tucked inside my coat with plenty of room. Of course I look pregnant when I do that, but I think that is just funny. emoticon emoticon

I was digging through my closet for something today and realized it's time for me to sort and get rid of stuff that's too big. Too much of a bother right now though in my limited free time.

I remember having a hard time giving away my XL red blouses. Red blouses were in style a few years ago and I love them. I bought a huge number of them so I'd have them. I knew they wouldn't be around long. I was so sad when they were just too big on me. I looked silly wearing them. Next time red blouses are in style, I'll be buying them up again. LOL

Time for a new coat. You deserve to wear clothes that fit and show off your lean, healthy body.

you are too funny- you have worked hard- DON'T put the winter coat away- wash it up and GIVE it away. I'm sure a new jacket a couple sizes smaller will still accommodate Cooper in a pinch once those winter temps return

great work on the run- glad the skies cleared
