I've been doing a lot of reading about essential oils and their benefits the last couple weeks and have found out that some friends of mine are really into it for health, cooking and cleaning. So I am going to a informational/sampling party tonight. I have used peppermint on and off for a few years for my stuffy nose and it really does help and now I am going much deeper into the world of essential oils. I haven't looked on spark to see if there is a particular team or teams that use oils. If any one has a suggestion of one please do tell me.
Apart from this I've been using a special tea to gently cleanse my colon. My new doctor who is trained in Naturopathy and Integreative medicine tells me that my colon must be full and sluggish and my meds and supplements don't have much of a chance to be absorbed as they should.
As a trained nurse (30 years ago) I was used to giving my patients many pills and always thought that was the way to treat most disease and discomfort, but now I want to take a more natural approach to healing my body. I believe that is through good food and herbs when ever possible.
In fact I had decided to avoid a dinner with family members tonight to go to this meeting. My family is going to a restaurant that serves everything fried or grilled with heavy buttery or creamy sauces and I really don't want to eat that. Foods like that makes me feel worse.
