Got up this morning for a run (2nd Friday in a row...I can see a pattern coming back into play! YAY!) of 3.3 miles. Went pretty good, though my knee was hurting me a little bit. But Day 2 of being DONE with the scale, and I find (so far) I'm not obsessing over what that number might be. I've made good food choices this week, have been drinking a ton of water, have gotten my normal workouts in.....
.....here's a funny aside for the zumba peeps: Yesterday I'm finishing up my grocery shopping (UGH! DISLIKE!!!) and waiting for them to be loaded into the car my BFF calls and asks where I am and what I'm wearing. She was having a work crises and desperately needed me to go get her class warmed up & do a couple songs. Yeah....I was in a maxi dress and flip-flops!
Not to mention she was talking like 11 MINUTES from then! So I hauled butt across town, raced into the church, where fortunately we still had a rack of gently used zumba gear for sale, grabbed some random cargoes & a tank, did a quick change, checked people in, and led the warm up & two songs sans shoes. It was nuts! Then I took my sweaty self (i sweat a LOT) home and put groceries away. Nothing like a 15 minute express zumba workout in between groceries! And shoeless zumba = no bueno! Felt so bizarre!
So yeah, I feel pretty good today. Not worried about what I weigh, or what size jeans I'm wearing. I've even been slipping on the bikini here & there to get used to how it looks/feels, and it isn't horrible.
Oh, DH IS taking the girls to our friends this weekend, so i have the weekend TOTALLY FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
EEEEEEEE!!!!!! (this has NEVER happened before!!! Seriously! I might be at home alone for 2 hours at the MOST if DH takes kids to the park or something)
