because its good for you...
because I said so....

these didn't work for me as a kid nor are they working for me now... even though it is me who is saying them!!! gotta find that true motivation from within that will make me make the time to do what I want to do.. not because I'm told to do it.. that lifelong rebel is still at work..

I do know that I want to run because it seems so freeing... making myself go through the pain and agony of getting there is putting me at odds with the rebel. not really pain and agony once I get there and get going.. as long as I can get home and get changed (and for the pool do it in time for 6pm class) and out the door before anything happens it works.. were I to pause not so smooth a transition..

gotta - no I Wanna - work on that while there are still lots of evening hours of sun
just shoes(and clothes)
no dog
just do it - according to the Penguin runner the love will come

    Why the need to rebel? I wonder this because my hubby is so resistant to exercise. He could use it. We *all* can use it. There are so many good reasons for exercise and eating right that make sense and in the end, cause us fewer health issues. Why are we so happy to remain ill, diseased and unhealthy?

    lol , I automatically say no to things like that, even if my reason tries to tell me it's not such a bad idea sometimes .

    Because I told you so - you have to - you can't - etc. ALL work as red-flag words for me. I hope you manage to find a "because I LOVE TO" phrase to help you get to where you want to be with exercise and health. Those words and how we say them really makes a difference.
