Today was the first time I came to the end of an hour long walk and thought I could go longer. I walked 2.64 miles and thought maybe I can go for three. I did not run but walked a strong steady pace for me. I am working on doing a 5 k in August. I just may be ready! Exciting to think I could do this. I think I will work on increasing my speed and try jogging and walking maybe use the programs on the treadmill for inclines and stuff before just walking longer. 12 day 10,000 step streak working right now. By the way I'm still loosing slow for wls in my opinion but down to 173 today. This makes 67 lbs. total weight loss for me. I hear of people loosing so much more by this time, but I know its all relative to what you weigh going in, and if you are male or female. So I am thanking God for my journey and not bemoaning it. My inches however have not slowed and am able to wear additional clothing that was too tight just last week. So whew hoo!

Hope you are meeting goals and making progress, it is exciting when it works. I struggled so long with not fruits for my effort and felt horrible and as though I was failing. It is so good to make progress and be moving in in the reverse direction loosing weight instead of gaining!

    Yay on the 67# so far! I too am a slow loser, but it does work. Congrats on the NSV of wearing clothes that you couldn't last week.

    Congratulations on 67 lbs, that is fabulous! I also lose slowly and I am OK with it. I think women of a certain age will lose it a little slower. But I think it also shows that we are not making drastic changes, we are making changes that we can stick with for the long haul and that means we will maintain this loss. I think you will be more than ready for your 5k in August. You are probably walking by yourself now? When you walk the 5k, the excitement of all the people and the energy will get you going. Good for you! I am down 22 lbs since the beginning of the year and I started a walk to run program and I have done 5 - 5ks this year. Unfortunately I am rehabbing an injury right now, but hope to get back to running soon! I am walking right now.
