I'm thinking Fridays will be good days to up date you all on the past weeks training plans. Fridays are my 'rest days' from working out. A day I come to look forward to.
Saturday: was race day.
Sunday I did a light 2 mile bike ride and walked around and watched the Oly triathlon. The one I had planned to do. I felt no regrets having not done that race. I still want to. Next year. I wasn't ready this year.
Monday: 6 mile pace run on the pre core to stretch out the joints and muscles and get back at it.
I also spent a lot of time monday coming up with my new training plan of what I'm to do now and when my next race will be.
Tuesday: Swim at the pool. I did a 1500 time trial swim, it took forever! Must work on speed and such.
Evening was track work out. First time running on the ground after race. It felt good and easy.
Wednesday: I went and Kayaked while a friend swam in the river. That was fun to watch her do. She made it look so easy and effortless...
That night I went to my first Open water swim practice. The water was COLD! Like really cold! I couldn't put my face in the water again. It reminded me of blue lake all over again! YIKES! What the heck. So the back stroke it was. Then it starts to rain. The rain hurt my face while swimming back stroke. So I some how got myself to put my face in the water. Let's just say I was the last one out of the water. And I sucked big time. I was able to do some of it free style. But man do I have some work to do in order to do it all free style.
Thursday: I was suppose to bike ride some time this week. That just never happened. I will be back at it soon.
Evening was group run. We did a 4:21 mile hill run. My coach said that he did it in 9:45 and I was not that far behind him. So it's very possible that my 5k next weekend could be done in under 30 min. That is the goal.
