Motivators Virtual Fitness Tour Hooroo Party

Friday, June 14, 2013

The Motivators Virtual Fitness Tour has come to a close, but we are having a Dinky-di Barbie to celebrate the good times we've had these last months.Everyone's invited -so come on in & have a rip-snorting good time with us!( There is an Aussie slang translator at the bottom of the page.) emoticon

Are you ready to Barbie???

No,no,no....a Barbie...

There's plenty more-don't be shy!

Holy dooley,Cobber-you look thirsty! Grab a handle & get a VB to wet your whistle...

Now...are you ready to sit around the Bush Telly & make like a Galah ? Then let's get started-

Come on-Give it a burl .

Sadie the Cleaning Lady~

Simply Bushed-live at Joe Maguires Pub Tamworth ~

and finally-Walk a Country Mile by Dusty Slim~

Well I've walked a mile or two-oo in my lifetime
And I've travelled down some muddy tracks and dry
'Cause if I wanted to get where I was go-oin'
I knew I'd just have to walk that country mile

Now a country mile would be the longest distance
A man could ever travel when he's down
And you curse the never ending road before you
When you think you'll never make it into town

But you meet a friend or two along the highway
And you'll learn a lot you never knew before
And if the journey takes a lifetime
When you thought a year or two
Well you just don't give up easy anymore

And I've walked a mile or two-oo in my lifetime
And I've travelled down some muddy tracks and dry
'Cause if I wanted to get where I was go-oin'
I knew I'd just have to walk that country mile

Walkin' that long mile has shown me changes
Changes in the people and the land
But I'll bet the road to Marble Bar's no better
Than when I drove with trucks and caravans

And a country bloke is still the same old battler
No matter what the place he's workin' in
And although I've covered many miles
I still can't wait to see
What the next long country mile will bring

Well I've walked a mile or two-oo in my lifetime
And I've travelled down some muddy tracks and dry
'Cause if I wanted to get where I was go-oin'
I knew I'd just have to walk that country mile
Yes I knew I'd have to walk that country mile.

This tour has shown us all that the journey is easier with friends along! Sandra (Keltic-Cara)
has really shown us a good time seeing her beautiful Australia-if you would like to re-visit the places we toured & learn heaps along the way-check out her blogs-starting with-

Now-it's time for a group hug-then we have a plane to catch-you can't miss it-lol.

Oh-and one more thing-

Aussie Slang~

Bog in : commence eating, to attack food with enthusiasm

Bush telly : campfire

Cobber : friend

Dinky-di : the real thing, genuine

Galah : fool, silly person. Named after the bird of the same name because of its antics and the noise it makes

Give it a burl : try it, have a go

Handle : beer glass with a handle

Heaps : a lot, e.g. "thanks heaps", "(s)he earned heaps of money" etc.

Holy dooley! : an exclamation of surprise = "Good heavens!", "My goodness!" "Good grief!" or similar

Hooroo : goodbye

What a great party! Here's a VB toast to you for all of your hard work in organizing our trips, and keeping us all " in line and on track" without the rope to hold onto. LOL!

Love the two planes! I think I had one like the little pink one when I was little. . .

Thanks, too to Cara for such an informative and fun tour!

What a great party; the food looks delicious and you remembered the lamintons and trifle. Bush tellies are so much fun; brings back childhood memories. I just love that Slim Dusty song, I have in on my laptop.

Thank you so much for the flowers.

The whole trip has just been so amazing; I have learnt so much about America as I hope you have learnt something about Australia.

Thank you Sami, thank you all

All right, a party in Australia. I will have to get used to being on the underside of the world.

YOU belong on your own to-do list.
