First Boot Camp

So with the challenge going on at work, a coworker of ours decided to hold a boot camp sessions for free! Yesterday was the first, and boy am I out of shape! I have no upper body strength whatsoever. All this cardio I'm doing has really diminished my muscles! I felt weak, and so out of breath, but I'm not the only one...everyone is that way. There were only 6 of us and most of the guys couldn't even keep up! And it wasn't even a full workout, he went easy on us! I'm going to incorporate more strength training this week. What a motivator and wake up call this was for sure!

On another note, I joined a gym. I live in the boonies and have to drive an hour to work, where the gym is. Needless to say, I have yet to work out in the gym, but I have visited twice. Gonna take that leap and actually work out on Tuesday (I hope).

The Advocare products are working too! I feel energized, and my sense of well being is at a 10! I hopped on the scale, and I saw a 7 pound weight loss. WOW, in only a week? Now, that could be water weight but...dang! I haven't seen that number in a loooong time. I'm revved up.

    emoticon The great thing about strength training is after a few weeks you can see progress because most people can lift more by then. And I am sure if you keep up with boot camp your emoticon numbers will continue to go down! emoticon
