Sleep Tight, Sparkers.

Friday, June 14, 2013

I just wrote out a big, ranty blog about my mother. Then after writing it, I realized if you Sparkers read it, then you would have the yucky, kaka feeling that I have inside right now. I don't want you to feel kaka inside, you marvelous Sparky people. So, I erased the whole ranty blog. Sleep tight, Sparky Sparkers.

(If you see a selfish, vain, and totally irrational woman in your It just turned into a nightmare and it's probably my mother.)

Nihilism, kick-boxing, and tequila...that's all a person really needs.

    Ooooh.... political nihilism....

Such fun to spend a weekend plotting the necessary deconstruction of the currently accepted pillars of society! Proper plotting requires tequila, though... wonder if I can make it fit in to my calorie range? emoticon emoticon

Sorry to hear that the parental unit is pushing your buttons. You know you've grown past their ability to damage you now, so just ride out the icky kaka feelings and know that they are temporary. Go give wee doggie a cuddle, then see if some kick-boxing works out some of the yucky aftermath... (What?! It's a combination that's worked great for me!)

"Can you see your mother as a little bird with a broken wing?"

Ha! No, MAGGIEVAN. It would be lovely if I could, but my mother is about as far from a wounded bird as a person can get!

I often tell people that the idea that all women are naturally designed to be mothers, to be nurturing, gentle, and loving to their offspring, is one of the biggest lies told by our society. Not all women should be mothers just as not all men should be fathers.

In my case, two people who had no business being parents decided to get together and have a bunch of kids (me and my siblings). It's childhoods like mine that create the nihilists of the world.

I love my Mom, too. However, and unfortunately, she has caused me to have a yucky, kaka feeling within me. I feel your pain. We can't pick our parents. Just be aware that we can morph into our parents as we age so always be self-aware when/if you have emoticon your own kids.

Putting it down probably helped you sort your emotions... And deleting it will not change the feeling of "getting it off your chest". You were right to delete it - negativity never wins.

Can you see your mother as a little bird with a broken wing? I am sure you would have empathy with her. There must be unhappy things in her past that influenced her life. Have mercy. I am glad you deleted it. Good on you.

I do this all the time,if someone has annoyed me (in my case usually my cousin)
I write something out then just delete it all after, still I think that action of getting your thoughts out really helps release the anger/anoyance factor.

Good luck in your goals emoticon
