All right, I did not actually accomplish nothing. In fact, I think I accomplished more this week than I've accomplished in the last two months combined. It's just that none of those things are related to my fitness goals. My fitness goals have sort of been shoved to the side in lieu of everything else I've had going on this week. (Dog sitting, classes starting, the Black Forest Fire which was close enough to us that my mom came home early yesterday in case they decided to evacuate us, my birthday, cleaning, a trip to the library, homework, etc.)
I haven't exercised once this week (and I think the proof is in how tense all the muscles in my back and shoulders are), and I missed logging yesterday and today. I plan to go for a walk tomorrow when I wake up just to get back in the swing of things, but it doesn't hurt to get on here and remind myself that this is actually important to me. (It's easy to forget sometimes when more interesting and exciting things are happening.)
I mean, I'm not freaking out about the lapses of the week. I know from experience that berating myself isn't going to help or change anything; it's better just to float on from here. (Note to self: If you're using float on in a sentence, you probably need to lay off the Modest Mouse.)
Consequently, with everything going on I have also not had a lot of time to get on SparkPeople and check out what anyone else is up to, so I apologize for that. That too is on my list of things to work on.
Anyway, I hope the good in your week has also outweighed the bad.
