Day 26 Paleo w Juicing

Thursday, June 13, 2013

Well yesterday the scale went up again over 2 lbs ...then after a bathroom visit it wend down but I was still up +.6 So today I didn't weigh myself because I didn't feel like dealing with it. Then at noon... SURPRISE monthly friend appeared...a few days early. So now we will see what the scale does.

Sis and I decided this week to do spring cleaning- maybe if we shed things the same will happen to the pounds LOL. Yesterday we worked on my studio space and it looks good. Today we worked on the dinning room area and condo entrance. I used to have my jewelry display in our entrance and now its in the dinning room where it makes more sense. We like the feel of it - still have more work to do. We both hold on to too much stuff because we always feel we can use everything to create something. ... I think I need to watch another episode of Hoarders to scare me straight!

    I am convinced that as long as we continue to work on ourselves, no matter what, that we continue to improve...
today is better than yesterday, and tomorrow will be better than today - regardless of what the scale says.
You are such an inspiration, sharing yourself with those of us who look to you for support is a wonderful gift that you give of yourself. thank you ---
it's wonderful that we have access to outside influences (i.e. horders, spark, etc...) that help us see how we can continue to reach a more balanced life, with that balance comes success, in many forms --- few of which have very little to do with the numbers on a scale.
as my generation was fond of saying... keep on truckin" emoticon
have a great weekend!

    Wisdom?!? ROTFL!!!

This is just me getting by with a little help from my friends... just doing what I can to get through each day with all its craziness and uncertainty, and looking for answers for my own struggles (which, coincidentally, aren't all that different from yours). I've been here for 5 years now, plugging away, trying to heal, trying to get to goal weight, trying to solve the difficulties of my life, trying to make my dreams a reality... if you struggle purposefully you collect a lot of 'information' along the way. I'm just sharing what I've managed to learn!

    Decluttering, in general, can never hurt, LOL (I find it help me A LOT to focus on what I CAN control, LOL)! And because the scale is gonna do what the scale is gonna do:

"The hidden well-spring of your soul
must needs rise and run murmuring to the sea;
And the treasure of your infinite depths
would be revealed to your eyes.
But let there be no scales to weigh your own treasure;
And seek not the depths of your knowledge
with staff or sounding line.
For self is a sea boundless and measureless."
KAHLIL GIBRAN

"A woman is often measured by the things she cannot control. She is measured by the way her body curves or doesn't curve, by where she is flat or straight or round. She is measured by 36-24-26 and inches and ages and numbers, by all the outside things that don't ever add up to who she is on the inside. And so if a woman is to be measured, let her be measured by the things she can control, by who she is and who she is trying to become. Because every woman knows, measurements are only statistics, and STATISTICS LIE!"
AUTHOR UNKNOWN

"A strong woman is a woman who loves
strongly and weeps strongly and is strongly
terrified and has strong needs. A strong woman is strong in words, in action, in connection, in feeling. What comforts her is others loving her equally for the strength and for the weakness from which it issues...
Strong is what we make each other."
MARGE PIERCY

  I have found the scale to be a big fat liar most of the time. I seem to lose a lot of inches but the scale barely moves.
