So a lot has happened!

Thursday, June 13, 2013

So, a lot has happened and I thought I would fill you all in and try to get back on track on here and dump the weight I have put on in the last couple of months AGAIN! Well, I was doing really well, I was down to 151 in December and so close to my goal weight of 145. Then I got diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia and had some really bad episodes of chronic pain hit me. I was unable to keep up with my exercise routine since my face hurt so bad and as far as food it hurt so bad to chew I just got down what I could so there went my diet! Then I went off of my hypothyroid meds for a bit in March and within two months I had gained back 10 pounds! So here I am today now so upset that I was so close to my goal and now gained back some weight that I decided since I am back on my thyroid meds and since my face pain is in remission I would try to get back on track and lose this extra baggage! I hope I can get into an exercise routine again. I have been having some issues with my muscles lately so hoping I can get back to where I last left off! emoticon

I am sorry for your health issues, but it sounds like things are getting better slowly. We have all been there in one form or another. I have thyroid issues as well, so I can really relate.

You can do this! emoticon

Best of luck. Trigeminal Neuralgia can be hard to diagnose, as a dental professional I see it all the time. It's frustrating for patients and for us, because we don't want to treat you for something you don't need. The good news is more people are becoming diagnosed with it, so diagnosis should be easier. It's no fun to be in constant agony. Just stay positive and you'll be at your goal weight this time.

Join my club! I got down to 147 (TWO pounds away from my goal!) in April and then my mom passed away. I started eating poorly since my family was doing all of the cooking and I didn't have much of a choice. We had what was easy since my mom was in hospice for several days and then we had to make the funeral arrangements, etc. After that I still did ok but then had knee surgery 5 weeks ago. That's when I gained 11 pounds back and this morning I was at 158. Ugh. I haven't been able to do my activity and haven't been very careful with my eating so here I am. We can totally do it! Hang in there and know that you are NOT alone!
