What's with that....

Thursday, June 13, 2013

Had blood drawn today and received a call this afternoon from the nurse telling me my iron was normal. Okay... Then she mentioned oh by the way your other blood work needs your doctor's attention. I am not at liberty to read you your results, but you may wan't to make an appt. to speak with her. What the heck! She had no business mentioning anything at all to me. Don't ya think! So now I have to wait until Wednesday to have the labs read. I'm thinking that if it's urgent she will call me. But what a thing to mention over the phone and a phone message at that. I'm thinking power trip on her part... What's with that. I'm boggled actually.

Sorry about that girl. She didn't handle it well, and sometimes they get busy and don't realize how they sound. I would absolutely tell the doctor that it upset you. I used to work in the front office of a Dr. office, and I would try to feel how the patient would feel. But I know they get so busy nowadays, and forget that sometimes. I hope and pray it is not too serious. My Dr.'s office did something like that to me, and I had needed medication to get a level down. I would also ask if I could get a sooner appointment. Praying for you girl! emoticon emoticon

I'm impressed that they remembered to call you at all. Those things seem to fall through the cracks here. My Doctors nurse does tell you if some thing is ok but can't tell you what is not, all of this is per Dr. instructions. Do tell the Doctor that it upset you. Sorry that Wednesday is so far away. emoticon
