Awesome Day!

Thursday, June 13, 2013

The scale was encouraging this morning! 194.8. FINALLY, on the other side of the 190's halfway mark...I can see a light at the end of the tunnel...pressing on!

Awesome walking day! I ate my lunch and put on my tennis shoes and headed out for a walk this afternoon during my lunchtime. I hit it just right. It had stormed in the morning, but wasn't raining when I headed out. It was breezy and overcast...felt GREAT for walking! I walked over to the cemetery near my office and walked the paths there and then came back. It started to sprinkle right at the end of the walk...then it started to get harder...so I jogged to the door. Yay! Perfect timing! I came home from work with over 7,000 steps on my Fitbit! Woo hoo! That's a first. I was able to walk for about 45 minutes on lunch! Finally, it's a blessing that I'm a fast eater! Gives me more time for lunchtime walking!

After work, Mia and I did our walk to the park. (Mia is my dog...she's a puggle...BTW.) We did our usual route to the park and back. There were a lot of people on the park walking path today...it was good to see. Everyone was nice and smiled or waved or said hi as they passed. I felt like we were our own little fitness community...some were jogging...some walking...some biking. I had to pull Mia's harness a little tighter this evening...so either she is starting to lose some weight...or the harness vest has stretched out. I'm hoping she is losing some. I need to check it out. We've been trying to limit her snacks and we have been walking every day.

I talked to my DD in Wyoming after supper. Her husband is going to get out of the Air Force next January/February. They are planning to sell their house in September. Then, she is going to come home and live with us for a few months. Then, when he is out, he will move back here and they will be living close by and he is going to go back to school. I am so excited! I will get ot have her close by and one of my little granddaughters! And they will be living with us for a few months! That's just too good! I'm going to work on the sewing room and try to get it ready for their arrival. I want to make it a nursery/sewing room...done up in Precious Moments. Here's what I have to look forward to:

They sent me this "mommy and me" picture tonight...I thought it was so cute!

Hope you all had a great Thursday! TGIF is coming! Woo hoo! Keep up the good work! Thanks for the encouragement! Spark on! emoticon emoticon
