This week has been so slow on the job hunting front. I got two negatives from two jobs I applied for. Didn't hear from anyone, no new jobs were coming up. I got desperate enough to apply at a cleaning service which is kind of the opposite of what I am looking for. As in just left a labor intensive job, not really looking for another. Still waiting on a call back from that job I really felt like the interview went well last week. Last night I got a call back on a job, receptionist for a doctors office. Yayyy finally something! Plus one of the doctors actually called to set up the interview. Then this morning I was out walking the dogs and I got a call from my rep at the temp agency and she goes "I applied for a job for u 2 weeks ago and they got back to me and want you to start tomorrow!!!". WOAH! I told her I have to work part of my 9 hrs I work at my other job tomorrow. But she said that was fine and I could go after. 8-4 schedule mon-fri. She thought I would be perfect because its an office job that could turn into a sales job of me helping ppl pick out kitchen colors. She thought with my art background I would be perfect for knowing good colors to match. Pay is what I asked for and she wants me to start there full time next week, holy crap! Now I donno if I should go to the interview Saturday or call it off. Probably should go just to keep my options open in case. I should have an idea of this job tomorrow, when I go for a few hours. Oh and it's close to home. Not really close enough to bike, cuz I would have to go across the busiest road in town. But close enough to let the dogs out at lunch. Finally something coming thru! Plus husband is 17 days away from being hired at his job and 47 days from healthcare coverage WOOOOOHOOOO!! Oooh the fun of being a grown up! Whats really funny is tomorrow marks 1 month since I left my other job.

I have a feeling I might be busy for awhile so I am gonna get 2 days ahead of my photos. So I will be good on shots now til Sunday.

Day 139: Creamy mushroom soup with croutons and tofu caesar salad. The recipe kinda was botched the first night. But the next day it was better and so that is why there are two photos. Two recipes from my moosehead book.

Day 140:Mushroom and white bean ragout on homemade polenta. Getting that polenta down pat! 1 more recipe down plus one repeated.

Day 141: Egg foo yung omelet on saffron rice. Another from moosehead.

    YAY on the job front!

Things to consider - which job has better benefits (you can have double insurance, I believe)? Which has room for growth? And, always important, which would be more fun?

PS - at interviews, I usually ask why the position is open - did the previous employee move up in the company or organization? Did they leave the company? It says a lot about a company if people are leaving - but if they promote from within, that's a good sign.

Congrats...sounds like things are coming together. A lot of hard work on your part is bringing the benefits.

That's awesome that the jobs are coming in. There will always be a need for medical receptionist. Check both jobs out for sure. If you get the job with the doctor's office you will surely have the chance to learn more as you go.

    Wishing you best of luck!!!!!
