Well, goodbye chocolate...for now

Oh crud. Stepped on the scale this morning and.....




Well, I am only up a pound and a half from my original target, but I am six pounds above my new target. NOW is the time to stop, buckle down and take things more seriously before I gain more poundage.

So back to tracking and measuring every single bite I eat. Apparently, eye-balling it did not pan out so well, and I'm definitely not toning up.

    You'll get there! Good job on spotting the tweaks you need to make to become the healthiest you can be!

I am so indoctrinated to using a digital kitchen scale and measuring spoons - I only eyeball portions when I'm out or at someone's home.

I know in order to keep the success I have as well as reach my goals, I cannot rely on my eyes because they are definitely bigger than my stomach!

    I hear ya. LOVE chocolate but it has to be in small doses. DH signed me up for a chocolate of the month club at our wine store. UGH!

I figure it's a new challenge, limit myself to a couple pieces a week. So far so good. Everything takes practice.

You will get there! I'm with ya!

    I am a chocoholic myself. I limit myself to 3 Hershey kisses a day (they are 22 calories each). I savor each one and helps my craving without killing my diet.
