As Arnie said... "I'll be back!"

Thursday, June 13, 2013

Sorry for the unexplained sudden absence, but it has been unavoidable. A very close friend's husband passed away last week, and although it was after a long illness, it has hit us all very hard. Another friend and I have been with her as much as possible, and I've only been coming home briefly to make sure everything is ok, to walk the dogs and feed my cat.

Graham's funeral will be held tomorrow morning, so I won't be back online until his wife has had a chance to get used to not just living on her own again, but to not having to keep an eye on the time during the day so she can go to the nursing home to help feed him his meals.

I don't know when things will settle down enough to allow me to return home, but am badly in need of a good dose of Sparking. Healthy eating has not been high on our list of priorities just lately, and combined with sleepless nights and some very emotional days where so much has to be organized as soon as possible, I know I'm not the only one who is feeling tired and quite overwhelmed.

I'm also feeling bloated, and longing for some low fat, low carb, healthy food! I dread the thought of getting back on those scales, but still, I wouldn't wish to be anywhere else but by the side of a very courageous lady who has been such a wonderful friend to me and many others.

Looking forward to being back amongst you all soon, but for now, it's bye again.
