I wrote a few weeks ago about depression trying to get it's hold again, anyway that continued to be the case and I've really been feeling pulled down especially the last week. Lot's going on with health and with a family members health as well which has been stressful. Then my weight stopped moving downwards even though I was exercising and eating well and I think that added to the discouragement. I haven't been on Spark people as much recently either and motivation has really been slipping. I know from past experience that if I go by what I'm feeling only then I'll go back to bad habits and end up regaining and gaining more weight; so need to take action by continuing to take steps day by day whether I FEEL motivated or not! So here I am ... emoticon

  Never give up or quit and keep on logging in each day because you will get your motivation back just fake it till you make it. Just keep on keeping on. Just pretend that you are motivated, act like you do when you are motivated. I have been through the same thing and that is the devil trying his best to keep you unhealthy because that helps a person to feel helpless, hopeless and that will lead to depression and being discouraged.

Jesus wants you strong and healthy so you can be feeling good spirit, soul and body.

The best is yet to come.

    I am so sorry for you feeling so down..I totally get where your at...all the different diets I have tried I ended up getting to that same point...but the thing I'm doing now, I have felt so much better and have been losing fairly steadily...I would suggest you take a look at it..If you want to, sp mail me and I can give you an overview...

If not I would suggest what Trianglewoman said...find people who have had success and maybe that can help motivate you...

    Keep searching. The answer is there for your. Be teachable and look to those who have had success.

You can friend need to ask! Most will friend you back and you can begin to read old blogs and see how they did what they did.

Even people who are struggling can help you because you know how they feel. Reach out with kindness. Don't be disappointed if people "disappear" ...we are all "alone-together" in this Sparky place and must make our own lights shine as bright as they can!!

    Yes I can understand completely .. This is why Sparkpeople is so important .. It isn't just a weight loss site,it is a community of people who struggle with lives challenges daily ..
This is what keeps us sane healthy and fit..

    I know what you mean. Life does get hard and we fall back into our past lives. We do need to log on to help to keep our motivation going. Keep blogging on your feeling so that we can give you moral support.

    It's so great that you came back here for motivation and support! I'm sorry you're having such a rough patch. Your decision to make positive choices, even when you don't feel positive, is very inspirational to me!

Remember that even when your weight doesn't seem to be going down, your exercise and diet are building stronger, healthier muscle and improving your health. You may in fact be getting smaller, just losing fat and adding muscle.

Keep up the good work! Be proud of yourself! You deserve it!
