My diet has basically been pretty bad my whole life. I really eat about 4 or 5 fruits and until know 2 veggies. I have been working on cutting fat, salt, and adding more whole grains like brown rice and whole wheat pancakes to our diet and cutting back on the soda. But I didnt really believe that I could include more fruits and especially veggies into my diet without gagging them down. Until now.. a very special sp friend opened the door for me to the world of smoothie glory.. in the last few days I have made 3 different kinds of smoothies and they all had something new in them that I would have never tried before. For example Greek yogurt, avocado, and spinach.. The greek yogurt give my smoothies a milk shake like consistency and I cant even taste the avocado or the spinach in them, and I still get all the nutritional benefits of them. With none of the gag factor. If you struggle with trying new things then I would recommend you start out with smoothies.. they are awesome and taste so yummy.. My success with the smoothies also encouraged me to try sweet potato pie for the first time.. no smoothie needed and it was so good.. I feel so empowered from just this simple, humble smoothie.. Praise God for whom ever thought them up.
