Our Daily Bread for Today

Wednesday, June 12, 2013

The contents of this blog was taken from RBC Ministries publication of "Our Daily Bread" June/ July/ August 2012 issue.

The Best Teacher

Read Psalm 1
"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly." Psalm1:1

It has been noted that people believe "we must go into the world to experience ungodly situations and ungodly people in order to grow stronger".
Although we are in the world, we must be careful not to allow the exposure to lead us to embrace ungodly philosophies.

Our decisions and choices should not be controlled by the "counsel of the ungodly". We also shouldn't get comfortable with those who mock God, His word, and His role in our lives which may cause Christians to assume their thinking seems right to us. We do not want to be lead away from God.

God and His Word are the best teachers, not experiences.

You see more and more seeming to walk in the counsel of the ungodly. Need to be on our knees a lot more.
