The people who seem to live long long long lives are the ones who stay active all the time. Garden, walk, bike, swim not in excess tho. In the past yr I have been trying to tone down my exercise. No training for events or push myself to my limits, just learning to be active all the time. They say sitting too much can be one of the worst things for your health. I can't say enough good things about how motivating that little fitbit is! Been walking the dogs for 40-60 minutes a day, good for them and good for me. Plus they are rag dolls on the couch for the rest of the day. Today I brought water, we passed a fire hydrant that was running and a dog watering bowl on the trail. It was 80 by 9 am, yuck! Saw a 3rd dead snake on our walk =( What's the deal with snakes!
I went to walmart and got a bunch of little things I needed for recipes from my book. Stuff I have never considered cooking with. Capers, bean thread noodles, filo pastry, more coconut milk can always use that, miso paste, chipotles in adobo sauce. I made coronation chicken on monday for Scott's lunches. That was interesting, I heard it mentioned on a BBC show so I just had to try making it. It tasted like chicken salad with a fruity and very curry twist. Last night I made a tofu caesar salad with creamy onion soup. I kinda screwed the whole thing up, oh well. Your husband should think you're trying to poison him with your cooking once in awhile. Keep em on their toes! My recipes include a ton of olive oil and every time I follow them to a T I think "OMG this is gonna be so many calories and make my weight sky rocket!". But quite the contrary, I have been wanted to eat out less, I am more satisfied with dinners. We are hardly eating any meat at home. Been spending a lot more on veggies and fish and a lot less on chicken and beef. Been buying a lot of good quality bread to eat with meals. Yet my weight is the lowest it's been in a long time. Just go with it and keep walking!
Oh yes and I must mention my new afternoon sweet treat has been smoothies! Mixing a banana and 1-2 other fruits with 1 cup of almond milk, YUM!
And for photos. My food photos havent been that interesting. So I am kinda just stockpiling them and then gonna make image with several. It's hard working on a recipe for an hour and then having a hungry husband waiting to eat while u photograph it.

Day 137: Spring is fading and taking the flowers with it.
Day 138: You really don't have to dine and dash, you can stay and hang out with me...tell him he has to stay and be my friend!
