Second month of healthy living and my goals for exercise minutes and exercise miles :)

Hello everyone well as you know from my profile I am a type 2 diabetic and well I take meds and insulin and I control my diabetes with exercise and healthy eating also. I have been doing good with that recently so I want to keep it up. I love walking and when I cant go for walks I do my walking dvd and now my new fav is my dancerise dvds :) Sooooo much fun.
When I go for walks I normally do about 3 miles and yesterday I clocked a 97 min walk. So thats what I do everytime I go for my walks.
My goal is to walk 50 miles a month and last month I got to 63.01 and this month I would like to do more or go further.
And my minutes for last month were 1681 and I burned a total of 5044 calories :)
So I am gonna try to beat that this month :) And I am gonna keep everyone posted how I do on here pretty much everyday ok when I can but I record every walk and log it on here on Sparkpeople also.
So so far this month
June Minutes as of June 11: 373
June Miles as of June 11: 16.08
My goal to reach half of my May Minutes is 1681 / 2 is 840
Goals for May Miles is 63.01 / 2 is 31 :) I believe I can do it.
And also my nutrional goal is to eat lots of veggies and fruits this month. I am eating raw aspargus(doesnt taste bad) and celery. I want to incorperate raw leafy spinach in my diet also. Along with more broccoli. Green veggies are always best. And especially with me having diaberes its good for me.
I am also watching my portions more. Picking more healthier options for snacks like air popped popcorn and rice cakes with honey. And apples and etc. My boyfriend and I also like Tostitoes and salsa MMMMM Yum.
And I also want to cut my caffiene in half and drink more water I want to aim for 2 liters of water a day. :) 60 ounces. You should drink half your body weight in ounces.
Well I had special k and yogurt and a banana for breakfast today. Good combo of food groups. I like my bananas for potassium and helps lower blood pressure. And yogurt for calcium.
And gonna have half a sandwich today with celery and aspargus lunch. and who knows what for dinner.

The temp today is 20 right now. Perfect walking weather. And showers starting at 5 pm but we will see what happens.
