Treadmill Life

Wednesday, June 12, 2013

When I was young I had a hamster (several) seems like you'd wake up in the morning and somehow the hamster would have gotten out of the cage. Like Sherlock Holmes you'd investigate - the door is closed and the hamster was to fat to get through the bars...MMM. But while the hamster was in the cage, it would be on this wheel just walking and the wheel would be going round and round.

Well, I feel like that hamster. The wheel is the week and I am just going monday, tues, wed, thurs, fri, sat, sun and Mon, tues, wed, blah blah blah. It's a real routine.... I believe if I was self-employed I wouldn't feel like I was on a treadmill of life. The days would be different, exciting, challenging. I know I want to be consistent but I don't want to be a treadmill.

I am self-employed and there are some days like the ones you describe and some that are miserable, just like any job. What would it take to get you to be self-employed, if that is your dream?

I don't know girl...it is good to dream and reach for new things, set goals...without vision the people perish,
but it is also good to be content in whatever situation we r in, for therein is our peace and thereafter, God will bless us with the desires of our heart...
i speak from experience. Many times i asked God to remove the thorn of my job, but instead, He taught me to become a leader within it. Not an easy journey for me, and one that took a few years, but now God is blessing me. Not that it is always easy, mind u, but there is peace and contentment.

Maybe you need to add different things to your daily grind and routine, like some of the different exercises you've tried, go for a walk at lunch, find a quiet spot for prayerful meditation... these r things i have tried that helped me.

I will be praying for u. Sounds like God is leading u to something emoticon

Unfortunately life its self is like being on a treadmill. Hope you find something you like better. emoticon

I hope you find your "something more" "something challenging and exciting" - take a chance on yourself and see how you like it.

Hope you can find some new ,exciting& challenging to add to your week to help you get out of the rut ! If you can't get out of the rut at work, maybe in your free time you can find something fun to try . A new , different book to read, or go shopping for new make up or a new outfit,or maybe look into taking a class of some sort . Maybe some fun little things will help you have a quick pick-me-up :) All the best to you !

I know work is so routine and if you can't change things there, try changing other things you can. Make some challenges in the rest of your day. It is very easy to get bore in every day routine. Keep smiling and get off the treadmill. Do sometime gor yourself. emoticon
