One word: Progress!
I never saw progress like this when I was dieting, or running, or doing yoga. In the weight room I increase my weights every time. 5 weeks ago, I couldn't deadlift 30 pounds, but today I lifted 65. I couldn't even do one push-up at 60° but today I did 10 in a row.
Here is tangible evidence, in writing (yes, I keep training logs) that I can improve at a sport! I really love going every training day and discovering what I'm capable of.
Also, even though I always wanted a long, lean dancer's build, I might be coming to terms with my short, stocky eastern european ancestry. It seems better suited for weight lifting.
