Well, much to my delight, today is day two under my belt of being 100% on track with eating and exercise. Did my Turbo Jam again this morning, and then decided to swim again after work. Probably gonna even swim again tomorrow. I figure it gets me and the kiddo out of the house, plus there's the whole exercise bonus I'm getting on it. I generally avoid the pool like the plague because I'm humiliated to be seen in my bathing suit. But I'm trying to get over that fear, because being in the pool is one of the things that's gonna help me lose weight and look better in a NEW suit!

I think I might actually be doing a little too good with my calorie counting, lol. After dinner I ended up with 335 leftover calories. Whoopsie! Sooo my dessert turned into more of a snack.. I had a mini ice cream sandwich and a dark chocolate square, and then strawberries, watermelon, and a banana. Finally done eating for today. It's kind of funny, when I'm off track and I think of eating healthy, I think that I'll never be able to eat enough to feel full. When I am on track, I feel like I'm constantly eating, and I'm generally not wrecked with hunger.

I'm also really tired. I'm trying to get back on the path of early to bed/early to rise (which in my world means going to sleep no later than 10:30 and getting up around 630-7) because I feel like when I do that, I fall asleep easier and sleep longer. It's a hard habit to get back into, but when I do it, I feel so much better.

I did have a proud moment today, I packed my own lunch to bring to work, and I ate it. This may not seem not much, but I work in a Target that has both a Starbucks and a Cafe that has DELICIOUS food... You can probably see the problem I have here, haha.

    I totally get the bathing suit issue! All my friends keep saying "let's go to the pool so we can lay out!" And I just want to hide, but at the same time I"m making steps to being able to look better in that suite.

I also have found that when I track my calories carefully that I am feeling much fuller than I thought was possible on a diet. Then again I am really not feeling like I'm on a diet this time. I truly feel like it is just a lifestyle change, which is even better.

    good job! i feel like i'm most successful when I've prepped my lunches for the week, if not a day or two at a time. it makes it so brainless to just grab it from the fridge and since it's prepped i feel horrible when i waste it! i feel you on the starbucks i work at an office and starbucks is brought in every morning emoticon so instead of my regular 300+ caramel machiatto i've switched to green tea so i still feel like i'm getting a treat like everyone else but 0 calories and still has caffeine!

    Man, if I had a Starbucks in/near my office my diet would consist of venti skinny caramel macchiattos (I believe that is what you call an oxymoron) and lemon poppyseed muffins. Seriously I lived on this for a year in college. I refer to it as living dangerously delicious.

Love that you're swimming. My pool offers lap passes for early mornings. I did it last summer, but I'm not a strong enough swimmer. I thought about still doing it and just using the shallow end to do water aerobics....

Stay focused and positive! Gonna make this an awesummer!

* It's much. Congratulations!! The effort of prepping and bringing meals to work is a big deal until it becomes a habit. Kudos to you!

    if it makes you feel any better I wear a bikini swimming at the YMCA & I really dont give a rats a$$ what anyone thinks bout it.

Congrats on tackling today! you are well on your way, don't beat yourself up.
