In case anyone was curious, this is what the first CSA half-share of the season looked like:
Red leaf lettuce, beet greens, mixed greens, English peas, sugar snap peas, shallots, garlic scape, asparagus, and a dozen amazing eggs. Seems to be just the right amount of veggies to get one veggie-loving single gal through most of a week; just enough that I won't have to fret if I eat meals that I don't cook myself a couple of times a week. I spent my evening shucking peas and getting everything prepped so it'll last, and those peas were gooooood straight out of the pod! Now I just need to pair all these veggies with equally quality meat and dairy from the farmer's market and it'll be good eating all around. Nom nom nom!
