Sinc I last posted, I have shampooed carpets, processed out three of the meatbirds, pulled weeds and sprayed the canadian thistles. I have never had so many before. Won't probably be doing any butchering for a couple of weeks, as the time when Jeff is not here and I am is very limited. I wanted to get three or four more rabbits done, but it looks as though they will have to wait.
Have ordered an electric tiller and a small power sprayer. As soon as they are in I have my work cut out for me. I am going to take down the shutters and power wash the house. It has not been done in the years we have been here so I know it needs it. Before I put the shutters back up I will be painting them red. I will use the same color of paint I am using on the door trim and garage door trim. Then I have four planters I will be painting red. I am going to pick up some window boxes in terra cotta color to put up at the fron window. Will really look different when I get it all done. Hopefull the rest of the roof will go on this next week end and then I will start in. The tiller and the power washer will be in the 19th.
My sis Mary is coming home for a visit. How long she will be staying I don't know they will be camping out at my one niece's place. We are having a pot luck on the 22nd. I am going to take oven fried chicken, a fried rabbit, deviled eggs and cup cakes. I will also be giving my other sis some of the necks and backs from the chickens to make chicken and noodles. If I haad more chicken livers I would fry up a bunch of them and take, but the numbers are too small. ONce I get all of the chickens dressed out I will invite anyone who wants to come and help eat them to come on over.
Dakota, the grand son I had not seen for over ten years until just a few weeks ago will be here to meet more of his family. He will be coming about the 17th and be here for a week. I figure he will spend at least a couple of days with his half sister and then he and Gabe will be here to go fishing!!!! By the time they get finished with me, I will be fished out. I am going to have them help me get the straw out of the back of the truck and the one night, we will go for a full overnighter of fishing. I promised Gabe we would do that this summer. I will crawl into the back (I have a futon mattress back there and I can go to sleep if I get too tired. Gabe is really looking forward to it.
That brings up to today and I must thank the Lord for taking care of me and giving me the strength to get all done that needs to be done. I praise Him for his great love and mercy.
