We've been home a week today. I left Ohio with good intentions...I know, I know the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
I got home and broke my flossing streak, right after bragging...
I got home 4 pounds heavier, not funny especially since I mowed my brother's yard to stay active, swept their house and helped with cooking and laundry. Those were my choices, I was not asked to work. I also worked on my great-nephew's hat, my grand-daughter's receiving blanket and started on my great nieces too.
I visited an elderly friend (87+) of the family and took her out to lunch, as I did with my elderly cousin (81). We took them to lunch, neither of which fit into my daily caloric allotment. I went to my sister's FIL's wake and funeral as well as the church provided luncheon.
On the road home I was moderately more careful, but after all the cook-outs and the hours of sitting I should be happy it was only four pounds. Erik got sick at the end ; was grumpy and not caring what he ate-that gave me more options!
So, I was going to be good, start Spark Solutions, to find out I don't know how to flip to different chapters on my Kindle so that I can research the recipes as well as follow other guidelines.
Then on Wednesday night Erik's friend (also my friend of 40 years eldest son) texted to ask aunt Ginie if they could crash Friday night here(him, his lovely wife and their adorable four children). So I really did burn some energy Thursday & Friday cleaning house, and I actually got some (key-word some) receipts recorded on my spread sheet. I haven't even worked on Erik's.
So Saturday after they left I was going to mow my lawn-it rained and my eldest son came over "to help clean the garage". Now mind you that wasn't on MY agenda. We did get some stuff cleared out and his wife and I took the recycling to the bin.
Afterwards we went to a Chinese Restaurant...oops on the calories again.
Somewhere during that lovely Saturday I lost my Fitbit. I've searched high and low, called the restaurant, checked around the recycling bin at church and checked the parking lot at the grocery store as well as asked inside if anyone found it. NO LUCK.
Yesterday it rained a lot and I couldn't mow, and I had a chiropractor appointment-that went well. Today the ground is still soaking wet so I went to knitting club.
The good things are: I stayed w/in my calorie range yesterday and I think I'm doing well today.
I've flossed for 4 days again,
and am keeping my house picked up.
Okay, tomorrow I'm taking Chicken Enchilada's to my youngest son's and I'm meeting for the first time (now that Erik's well) my newest grand-daughter Elenore Rose.
So my friends, I'm picking up the pieces and starting again....and I'll continue to do so until I get this new lifestyle down pat.
Hugs to all, especially those of you riding in my boat!
