Update and new goals

Well it has been a long couple months... Paul had an infection in his ankle, which spread into his ankle joint. Some stats: 12-day hospital stay, 2 surgeries, 4 weeks of morphine, 8 weeks of antibiotics, 6 weeks of intravenous antibiotics (4 of those administered at home, by me). I can't believe that all just happened - Paul's still not healed all the way. He still has very restricted range of motion in his right ankle, is working through that with PT and pushing the joint - the range of motion will not increase unless he makes it move. He's walking with a cane - and is using our stationary bike to start up some cardio and it's good for his ankle too.

We're both weighing more than we want to - so we're both back on SP to track our food and exercise. It will be good for us to have this accountability and routine to fall back on.

And I signed up for the Orangeman 70.3 again - it's on Sept 8th. This is week 3 of my training plan - it's very much a loose plan - not strict at all. I'm loosely following this plan - triathlete-europe

- just to have some idea of things to push myself during my workouts.

Anyways, that's my update - we'll be around more regularly for awhile, and we need to keep eachother accountable to do the right thing when it comes to the fuel we put into our bodies.

    I am so sorry to hear about your husband, I hope that he fully recovers soon.

    OH NO! That sounds horrific. I will keep your husband in my prayers. Good luck with your training.

I know that since I haven't had a specific workout program that I'm following I feel a little puffy myself.
