Surgery update

Tuesday, June 11, 2013

Well I think everything went well yesterday. It was just at the doctors office and took about 25 minutes. He ended up cutting out more of an area than he had anticipated. Don't remember the exact word he called it but said it was basically just a minor surface skin cancer. Will have the results back in about 1 week as to if he got all of it.Then I'll have a 6 month check up after that. Chest area is a little sore but nothing to complain about. Funny thing was the doctor seemed a little upset because it was going to leave a scar. I just kind of laughed because I have scars all over my body. It will just be one of many.

Hope yours in not serious, and yes, I agree, the scar is probably the last thing you worry about with skin cancer. I had basal cell on my face. I ended up with17 stitches on the outside, and have no idea how many on the inside. This was actually in the crease of my nose. I do have some pictures on my sparkpage. I go back to the doc at the end of the month to make sure I'm healing up OK.

Thanks for adding me as a friend, and we'll be cheering each other on:)

Take care,
Donna

Glad the surgery went well and will pray that the scar is all that is left afterwards. I don't worry much about scars either - I have my share and they don't really bother me much - except of course when I model and do beauty pageants - WHOOOPS that was SOMEONE else's life NOT mine. LOL
