After many slip-ups and frustrations, I decided I needed a different strategy to cut out my coffee and alcohol. I realize I had myself in a circular pattern that I needed to break. Enjoy a nice glass of wine with dinner - led to disrupted sleep -- 4am wake-up time led to increased caffeine consumption - which led to anxiety - which led to wanted a nice glass of wine to chill out after a tough/anxious day. So here is the new plan....
No wine at night....sleep great!....get up at 5am (extra hour of sleep = less need for coffee = less anxiety in my day)....noontime workout (will wake me up without caffeine)....meditate on train home....come home relaxed = no need for wine... eat healthy dinner....go to bed and get a good night's rest.
I am so excited about my new plan - I followed part of it yesterday and hope to follow even more of it today!! I am off to a great start with my Summer Challenge!!
