Feeling Hot Hot Hot Headed

Monday, June 10, 2013

It's still 85 degrees out and like 90 in my house and it's 10pm...

I'm hot, tired and sweated all day cause it was like 100 outside and prob 105 in here and my grandma threw a fit cause I tried to turn on the air..

She is just going to have to suck it up and deal with it...This is my dang house...I cook for her, I clean up her messes I do everything to take care of her
....I'm not going to be miserable in my own house.....

Oh well it's hott hot hot and im done playing nice guy.

Tomorrow I'll be cool again but tonight im very hot headed and ready to slap someone.

Don't get overly emotional just look at her and smile and then go and turn on the air as cold as you like it for your own comfort and then if she says anything just ignore because too hot is not fun or healthy. emoticon

I remember my mom sitting outside on the porch during jammer wearing sweatshirts! She was always cold. Give your mom a sweater or blanket and turn on the air.

Do what makes you happy and consider that your grandmother may be cold and offer a blanket and/or sweaters to keep her comfortable.

If you become over heated and then suffer from the heat with heat frustration, who will be doing everything for her then? You have to take care of yourself in order to take care of her.
I walked into my moms place (she's 91) and I was burning up but she was cool. The doctor said they (the elderly) lose the ability to since cold and hot temps with their skin at a certain stage in life and that's why they suffer heat strokes during the summer because they don't realize they are to hot. You will be protecting her as well by having the air on even if she thinks she's going to die from pneumonia! LOL
Don't beat yourself up and do what YOU know is best.....
Good Luck!

Maybe a compromise with her? Turn on your air, get her a sweater to put on and some socks or whatever she needs to keep warm.

As we get older, we get chilled much easier than when we were younger. I think it's not so much the cooler air, but the air blowing out of the vents..

I hope the two of you can work it out so you can both be comfortable, you need to have some air if your weather is hot, that's for sure.
