Made a salad that didn't thrill me and packed it along with fruit and nuts for the day.
Saw candy dish of peanut M&M's in coworker's office in morning. Walked away.
Used less honey in my tea.
Said no to eating lunch out. Brought a banana to eat on the restaurant patio while sitting with a client who ate theirs. Didn't long for their lunch one bit. Felt smug satisfaction.
Back at office later, begrudgingly took my salad out of frig, AND LIKED IT!
Felt hungry in afternoon. You know that feeling, that tummy grumbling everything-is-working-like-it-
should-be feeling, and its okay to not do anything about it but smile feeling. I smiled, and worked on without snacking.
Later came back to said office for something else and forgetting about candy bowl, saw it again. Walked toward it. Turned around and walked away.
(sound of loud crowd cheering and applause)
