It Never Fails - Neither Do I

Monday, June 10, 2013

As always when I set my mind to improving my health, body and overall happiness something steps in the way. I'm sure everyone experiences this, at least one time or another, in life.

Struggling with my cough and chest pains I went back to the Dr. today and found out that I've pulled my chest muscles and cracked a rib from all the coughing. I guess 6 weeks of coughing can do that - who knew.....

I've been taken out of work again for another week because it has become painful lifting up my arm, I'm right handed and all of this is on the right side of my body.

I push myself through pain. I'm a taurus (stubborn) and I have fibromyalgia so I mainly assume that its just pain and I need to move on with my day. This however became such a battle and was simply exhausting trying to get a full breath in that I have to listen and slow down for a bit.

I'm going to use the next few days of rest to focus on eating and planning things a little better. (Printing the challenges for BLC so I can actually wrap my head around what I'm doing) and just do what I can.

On a side note - I am making a cross stitch for my mother so this will give me lots of time to work on it. Its a huge piece, poster size and its of the wizard of oz. I'm so far spent 60 hours on it and I am nowhere near done. This will be the biggest piece I've ever tried to finish. I have until Sept 24 which is your 50th and I would love to have it done by then. I will get a picture posted of this shortly

I'm sorry to hear about your coughing and the injuries it caused. Definitely time to listen to the doc and get the rest you need. I'm sure you will do what you are able to for the BLC and concentrating on nutrition can be a good thing. I'll look forward to seeing pics of your cross stitch project.

Take care!

I so hope you feel much better soon! I'm sorry to think of how long you haven't felt well! Usually if we look hard enough, we can find a silver lining to those little black rain clouds. You have a great plan to use this time to focus on nutrition and planning! Best of luck with that! Your cross stitch project sounds awesome! I'm sure your mother will LOVE it! It is truly a labor of love! Get well - that's an order! emoticon

I'm so sorry about all your physical troubles! Especially, that you are in so much pain. I hope you heal quickly.
The cross stitch sounds lovely and I will look forward to a photo! My grandmother and her sister helped sew the sequins on Glinda's dress for the movie.
