BLC 22 Goals

Monday, June 10, 2013

I kind of already got this covered a lot of ways, but definitely wanted to make sure I got my points for the weekend challenge!

Weight Goals: Lose 8-10 pounds (more if possible but weight loss is getting pretty dang hard for me as I get closer to goal!)

Strength training: 2-3 days a week in - this is going to have to be done to videos or I start slacking. I can also do whatever routines of squats/lifts/weights that come to my head. Perhaps I should print a few routines out to have on hand when videos become dull

Cardio: 30-60 minutes a day - varied between running/treadmill/indoor biking/DVD's. I'm good at cardio, this isn't a problem for me to get this in. Sometimes it is broken up, sometimes it is all at once.

If training time and knee allows, I'd like to do another half marathon in Eastern WA in August. I am not doing the one I a couple weeks since my knee had a minor tweak. Stretches and low running are on the plan for that.

Eating: Oh the mindless snacking has to stop. If I start, I keep going and then that is forced to become my meal, complete with its total lack of good nutrients. My hubby likes the crap food kept around the house and sometimes the visual of it is enough. I do great when he's out of town and I don't have it here, but those snacks are what gets me eating off plan. So pre-plan and stick to it! I'm trying to incorporate protein with every meal as well as veggies. I have fallen in love with plain Greek Yogurt over the last few weeks and it has become a great dessert for me. (With stevia and cocoa powder, of course)

I desperately need to keep trying new recipes. I used to be a diet in the rut kind of girl, but that's not working for me anymore

Accountability- as always with the Sapphires. Daily check in and daily participation. Both in thread and on FB- wherever it is convenient. I gain so much strength and knowledge and encouragement from these ladies, I'd be STUPID to ignore the wealth of support given to me in that team.

So there were my goals rehashed- to help me max out my weekend points for the BLC wide weekend challenge :D

    Great goals.

I love strength training, but I need the plan laid out for me or I just do a little of this and a little of that and never really get anywhere.
Book Body by You has a progressive body weight strength training program.
Also Body Fat Solution has a dumbbell program if you have dumbbells available.

Man, I just can't understand why you don't like those videos. videos I use them daily. Although I do have quite the collection to keep myself from getting bored! I have no doubt you will reach your goals this round. You have proven that when you set your mind to it, you can't help but succeed!

Great goals! I'm very curious to see if strength training will be the key to you reaching this final milestone emoticon When I see you in July, we can have a flexing contest emoticon (or I will just wave my bat wing at you if it doesn't work out for me!! ROFLOL!)
