I am a hard person to surprise as I have my nose into everything going on. Well, this time, I was surprised when my dil and son gave me an 80th surprise birthday party, with all my family and friends. Friends I grew up with and friends I have now, and relatives all got together to surprise me. We had a brunch and they had a recording made of one of my published songs called "You are my special friend," and they had the kids sing it to me.
I have the cd but can only pay it on my computer. It makes me shed tears, like I did when I opened the door to the room filled with people, when I listen to it. I am so fortunate to have a dil and son who think of me and find time to go through all the trouble to make me surprised.
Lots of children, of my dil's friends love me to pieces and came running to greet me with a hug. It is hard to believe this old lady turned 80. I awake each morning, sometimes with aches and pains, and other times with nothing bothering me. Those mornings I keep telling myself I am mistaken and should check my birthdate again because I do not feel 80. Now, if the following years, God willing, are easy going, who knows I might make l00. My dad hit 93.
His mother 90, so there is hope. LOL
