Summer Kick-Off 6 Day Fast

I feel great after a wonderful weekend! I worked (I'm currently working two 12-hour weekend shifts per week). I'm loving my job and my patients and my shift. It's much more laid back on the weekend, but not a total bore like night shift... wrought with drama from exhausted staff (including myself). I love it!

I had a smoothie as my main meal on Saturday and sushi as my main meal on Sunday. I haven't weighed in a couple days, but only because I've continued to have issues with my bowels. I thought I had them straitened out last week after eating okra for several days and finally getting some relief. But last night I had yet ANOTHER great okra blowout. What a great natural laxative!!! (thanks, you-know-who!!!! ;-)

My daughters are finally out of school and this is their first full week of Summer. It is HOT HOT HOT here in Houston Texas. This is also possibly my husband's last week working in San Antonio. I've decided I'm going to take this opportunity to do a bit of a "cleanse" or a "fast." So for the next 6 days, this is what I'll be eating... no exceptions (and I mean that... I'm determined to do this).

Bkfst:
~ 2 cups coffee with 2 servings coconut milk creamer
~ 1 Tbsp fresh ground honey roasted peanut butter

Lunch:
~ 2 cups fresh diced pineapple
~ 25 fresh cherries

Snack:
~ half cup edamame with Meditteranean sea salt (just a pinch)

Dinner:
~ 1 slice Ezekiel bread with 0.25 cup mashed black beans
~ 1 cup fresh sliced, steamed okra
~ 1 cup fresh spinach with chopped veggie salad

Tonic:
~ Fresh juiced beet, apple, and ginger

Hopefully this will kick start my weight loss again and get my Summer off to a good start!
