Staying Motivated

Monday, June 10, 2013

I'm so grateful for SparkPeople -- you are here 7 days a week 24 hours a day -- just reading success stories -- seeing new recipes -- reading blogs -- are keeping me going - with my husband's illness I don't want to start eating to comfort myself --I WAS STARTING To WAVER- and now I must remember to come back to you for support-- I need to take care of me to take care of him. The Dr. recommended Hospice I wasn't ready to hear that and what I'm feeling is hard to describe........... but I do know I want to be my best self to be there for him. We have been married 41 years and I thought the day we married I loved HIM as much AS I ever would BUT OH! LOVE GOES DEEPER AS THE DAYS AND WEEKS AND YEARS GO BY!!

I'm so sorry for what you are going through. You and your dear husband are in my thoughts, and prayers.

I am glad to hear that you are making the extra effort to take care of yourself as well. I 'm sure that is not always an easy thing to do. emoticon emoticon emoticon

That's must certainly a time most people want to comfort ourselves in any way possible. I encourage to take mini breaks, as to not burn out from exhaustion.

I'm sorry to hear they want him in hospice, but some of these people are so incredible and gifted at what they do.My Dad and Step mom did this. You know it gives you precious time with them, with the best care. So much more loving and gracious than many hospitals .

Often they do special comforting things, like massage their feet, sing over them, read, pay music. May God go with you and hold you tight and comfort you. emoticon emoticon emoticon

This is so sweet to hear, of your ongoing love for your mate. It's so hard for people these days to have that. Bless you! Can you afford in home care? My folks had a girl come a couple of days a week to help with things, and a Nurse to check my Dad's vitals.

I feel your pain and I am so sorry for what you are going through.

Yes, you have to stay as up beat as possible to keep your own spirit, soul and body as healthy as possible because the Lord has a plan for you to full fill and you are going to need your full complete health, strength, energy and zest and love of living life to the fullest to complete what He has laid out for you to do.

Never forget how much you are loved and valued in His body. emoticon emoticon emoticon
