A little more about myself!

Monday, June 10, 2013

My name is David and I started with Spark on 5/16/13. Here's a little about my journey so far. One day not to long ago, I stepped on the scale in my bathroom to see the number 280. I had noticed of late that my energy was getting low and my day to day activities where getting much harder. I started to notice that I was getting winded after climbing my houses 15 stairs and my left knee and lower back where starting to ache a lot. Now upon seeing that number I couldn't believe how badly I'd let myself go. Like many others I can look back at photos from my teen years and can't believe what has happened to me. I'll turn 32 on July 2nd, so it didn't take me long to decide that something had to be done. Well, so began my struggle with the fat monster. It took me almost 2 months to get from 280lbs to 274, (but this was due to my ignorance as to what I should be doing, and struggle with changing my habits).

Well, enter in a conversation with my father-n-law who has used Spark for the last 3-4 years and successfully gone from 274lbs to 189lbs. (I gotta tell you he looks great!) Well, on 5/16/13 I went to the website, signed up, and began to read and track. Since then I've learnt the error of my ways before hand, and have found support and knowledge from the videos and articles that have been a virtual fountain of encouragement

I wanted to add this here today, because today is also the start of me trying to meet people on the site, post on message boards, begin using my blog, and just all around try to become more social. :-)
