10 French fries made me feel sick...

Monday, June 10, 2013

I ate about ten French fries at a work function tonight and felt ill afterwards. Not sure why as I still treat myself to rich foods every now and again (mainly ice cream though). Maybe it was the grease? Anyway it wasn't nice. And the same thing happened after that "amazing" meal I blogged about last week. Was great at first but then that night and the next day I felt so ill. Heartburn, bloated and almost like I had a weird food hangover. I hadn't even overeaten.

Maybe this is just my body's way of telling me what isn't good for it? Kind of a shame as something I loved about SP is the idea of a balanced lifestyle but if some treats make me feel sick or awful, that just doesn't fit into the balance at all! Maybe I will grow to associate the sick feeling I get later with the initial good taste of some of these items to the point where I no longer even want things like French fries and stuff for a treat!

Anyway, in addition to this blog I'm down to 71.9 kg and almost in the 60s I've been really hungry lately but managing my calories ok. Hope to be at 70 by weeks end and in the 60s in two weeks time!

Have heard of that happening to others sometimes...yep, my bet is the grease is the killer!

Great to see oneself weaning away from such things! :-)

I have a similar thing happen to me when I have a greasy meal after eating "clean" healthy on a regular basis. It has stopped me from eating certain foods that used to be regulars (tempura and fastfood pizza, for example), so that is probably a good thing long term.

Congrats on doing so well on the journey!
