Goals for this week

Sunday, June 09, 2013

My mother was released from the hospital on Friday. I stayed with her until last night. She is having a lot of trouble with her knees and difficulty getting around. The hospital didnt get her up except for one day and that made things worse. PT is coming to the house tomorrow to work with her.
We have 24 hour care for the week and will reassess her needs at the end of the week.

I am exhausted: emotionally and physically.
This week I want to try to refocus on me.
Goals:
Walk 10k steps each day
Take 30 mins a day for me

Simple and sweet emoticon

Great goals under the circumstances (short and sweet and hopefully achievable).

Do keep us posted on your mother.

I'm glad to read that she is back home, and hope it goes well with her PT.

Enjoy your Me time, and I'll follow your progress on the Fitbit website!

Glad to hear that your mom is out!
I get so angry with the way that the elderly are treated! Medicated so they won't disturb the nurses! I was a nurse and that made me mad! ALL patients should be up and walking while in the hospital to keep them from getting blood clots in the legs or muscle stiffness! It amazes me how things have changed since I was working! Nurses don't seem to care like they used to!
You deserve some time for yourself! Take care! emoticon emoticon

I like how you are taking it easy on yourself and easing back into it. I know that you will be successful with your plan this week and that the success you experience will just encourage you to stick to your plan for the next week.

Sorry about your Mom's condition and how exhausting her care can be. I know it can be very draining, no matter how much you don't mind doing it.

I love your goals! It's especially important to work in some of that "me time" so you can stay strong for yourself and for others.

Thinking of you and trying to send some good energy vibes your way. emoticon

Hope things go well with you Mom and PT, actually if 24 hr can stay longer I think that would be good but expense of it is what it comes to at times. Great weekly goals !! Take care of yourself!!

I was thinking about you each day and this morning wondering when your Mom got released. WOW, makes for quite the exhausting weekend. You are such a good devoted daughter. Words can not describe.

I love, love love your goals! they are spot on. I know it is hard for you not to push, push, push on every front but I am afraid with all the stress that your body might get sick if you don't error on the side of moderation. I so agree that you need to take care of you when you can.
