Healthy Body

Saturday, June 08, 2013

The saying is that "when it rains it pours". This is very true for me at this time in my life. I went back to school, started a new job and made a new commitment to being healthy. I knew that I had to lose weight and get healthy to manage my new schedule. At first, I was so tired and I had no energy. I kept remembering that each step that I took magnified the pounds and pressure on my pour ankles and feet. My school parking lot was almost one mile from my classroom. I was out of breathe walking up and down the many hills. A few weeks later, I was so happy that I had a daily work-out built into my schedule. This small success, inspired me to schedule more exercise in my schedule. At this time, I am so pleased with myself. I have a lot on my plate and my life is over booked. I am however, managing it all,day by day. There is a lot of stress in my life, as a direct result of the positive changes that I am making. I do believe that my exercise program is an important part of my ability to manage all the stress. Another important change for me was to start eating healthier. I now pack several small meals, snacks, water and juice in my lunch bag, before leaving the house. My body is functioning so much better now that I am take better care of it. It is true that a healthy body can lead to a better life, especially if we take life "one day at a time".

Just be careful. Stress is a killer. That's been known for some time. Often it is time to step back a little for your own health. Hope I'm not overreaching. Glenn
