This is my obligatory weekly blog. As a member of the Community Team, I’m supposed to post a blog every week. I enjoy blogging, so it’s not a big deal. Thing is, Audrey and I had planned on shooting a vlog about choosing an adult-sized hula hoop--you know, show you all the tubing and stuff. But...we got rained out and then her social schedule got busy, so that’ll have to wait until next time.
So, this is my obligatory blog of randomness, since my planned blog went kaput. Um. Yeah, so...let’s see--
Oh, I’m feeling so much better! Still not quite up to hooping, but this mandatory rest time is starting to pay off. I’ve been able to keep walking on the elliptical and take a couple of short walks in the neighborhood. I did the grocery shopping and was back in the kitchen this week. It was SO good eating healthy again! I wasn’t even exasperated about cooking (I often am) because it felt so good to eat fresh, healthy, whole foods. I tried a bunch of new Spark recipes this week, from Spark Solution, Spark Cookbook and SparkRecipes. We ate some goooood stuff!
This was my version of Easy Steamed Fish Packets from Spark’s grill recipes.
This was my husband’s version of the same fish. LOL
Breakfast of the Champions!
Pancakes!!! Spark Solution has completely ruined regular old pancakes for us now. These are amazing; so are the protein pancakes. I kid you not. They taste like funnel cakes from the State Fair. Bliss, I tell ya.
Side note: I’ve been looking for a really good washboard for over a year now. My BFF finally found one for me. I’m SO excited! I’m gonna put all kinds of fun stuff on it and turn it into an amazing percussion instrument. I’m sure this will appear in a SparkWorthy vlog someday. :)
My awesome SparkBuddy REEBADABEEBOOS sent me the most fantabulous, guineapigeriffic cards and stickers I’ve ever seen. I just had to share one of them with you.
Is this not the best card ever?? All it’s missing is a guinea pig hula hooping in the background. I taped this up on my Shelf of Awesomeness and I guarantee it’s gonna make me smile every day. Thank you, Courtney!!
And last, I will leave you with this random piece of artwork we saw in a department store the other night.
Go do something astonishing! Bet you can surprise yourself.
