It's another day...another Saturday. Helped at the "Na Koa Football Meet the Coach" event last night. The bookstore sold some t-shirts, caps, footballs, etc. for the UH football boys from Kauai to sign. This was my first time at helping, and it wasn't too bad. The food was great....meatballs with mushroom gravy, noodles, Korean chicken, sushi rice, edamame, vegetable platter, cheese platter, won ton, portuguese sausage sliders, goteberg with furikake rice, steamed pork hash, roast pork in a bun, deep fried mac and cheese, and poi. What a combination. Of course, I didn't eat/try all of them. I had some noodles, chicken, rice, edamame, vegetables, poi, and the bun for the roast pork. I also tried the deep fried mac and cheese. I never had mac and cheese growing up because we usually ate more oriental stuff, and cheese wasn't in our household. I have to say that the deep fried mac and cheese was great. I even had a second helping. There was a jalapeno slice to top it off!

Good grief, what a spread! I've tried some deep-fried mac-n-chez before and didn't care much for it. I'll have to look up poi since that's not something usual for here. Glad you had a great time!
