Looks like I get a reprieve from my stint as "human pincushion" for a while! The colonoscopy was much scarier sounding than it was in reality - as is often the case with many things in life. Certainly the least comfortable part was the home prep since the patient is out like a light during the procedure.
Given all that's gone on in the last couple of years I'd mentally prepared myself to hear that I was going to need more follow-up so learning that they didn't even want to see me for another 10 years was a very happy surprise. If I could have, I'd have skipped out of that clinic like a little kid - and that is in spite dealing with a rotator cuff injury to the left shoulder (ouch - I mean really - OUCH.) Now I am feeling a sense of freedom I've not felt in a long time. Now I feel as if all of my efforts to regain my health are going to finally stick. No more 3 steps forward and then 2 (or 3 or 4 steps) back.
Herbert is full of all kinds of plans and can hardly wait for The Monkey to catch up. :)
