The last couple of days have not been my best, healthy-eating-wise! A birthday, an end-of-school celebration (I teach part-time), and a date with my DH have offered more temptation to overeat than I could resist!
But the good news is that, with SparkPeople's help, I've not gotten into the "drat, I've ruined my diet, now I might as well give up and go back to my old (unhealthy) ways" thinking that I've fallen into so many times before! I was reminded that a bad choice (or a few bad choices) is not the end of the world; it's only a step along the way. Yes, maybe a step backwards. But I can pick up where I am and continue going forward.
This thinking has really made a difference! I've gotten right back into exercising, and eating healthy at the next meal, and not thinking I'm a total loser for "failing" this week. That's a major difference in attitude, and I find I am finishing the week fairly pleased with my performance, overall, instead of being down in the dumps! So grateful for the motivation SparkPeople brings into my life!
