Sunny California

Friday, June 07, 2013

Well, it's finally here. The 100+ degree weather of the Central Valley is upon us. The chances of me going out to exercise are nearly zero percent.

If you've ever experienced this sort of heat, you know that even if you're inside, the high pressure system outside sort of sucks all of your will to live out of you. So, I will be sitting, sipping iced tea, and avoiding the sun at all costs today.

We are supposed to have a thunderstorm on Monday. I hope we do, otherwise I am likely to get cabin fever.

DS9KIE, we usually have that kind of weather starting in May around here. In fact, it rained on Memorial Day this year, and I was shocked. I can't remember it ever raining on that holiday. It's usually all about swimming, sunburns, bbqs, and iced cold beer.

For the record, it was one-hundred and eleven degrees today. I took my basset hound to the dog park this morning at 7am and it was already 90 degrees!

Yes indeed, time for video games! emoticon

It's been pouring rain on my end... Not a good time to get outside either. We are expecting a total of 4 inches before the day is over.
