I'm going to use my SparkPeople Blog as my "writing in a journal" Fast Break Goal. I'm glad I only have to do it 3x per week. I just heard about and joined SparkPeople a few days ago. I'm amazed at how much stuff there is to do on this site and I'm a little apprehensive that I won't have enough time each day to do all of the activities. To me, it seems very time-consuming even just to track the calories from each meal, let alone all the other crap there is to do on here, even if it is good crap.
However, I'm very impressed by SparkPeople so far and I'm kind of shocked that I'm having fun. I've heard of sites like this before, such as livestrong, but I have never found anything as fun and easy to navigate as Sparkpeople. I'm really really hoping that this will be the turning point for me. It seems like I've been trying and failing to lose weight for almost a decade and sometimes it seems hopeless.
It's just not acceptable to live so unhealthily when I have a young daughter and I'm her example. I'm also really worried about my husband's health. I feel so guilty about letting things slide, especially since it's allowed him to put on a huge amount of weight.
I'm tired of feeling so scared all the time that we'll never change and it'll just get worse and worse and worse.
