Today begins my first day of my eating course. the lesson was talking about the motives for losing weight. we were asked to list them.
1. to feel good about myself
2. to be noticed and paid attention too
3. to look good
4. to become confident
to name a few. this lesson talked about how we cannot glorify ourself. wanting to glorify self is not a proper motive to lose weight. I learned I was placing more concern on what other people think/ thought about me and no concern about whether I was pleasing God or not by my actions. I asked God's forgiveness for my selfish and unpure motives and asked him to help me replace it with the correct motive for losing weight.
